Making the Best of the Heatwave!

It's been way too hot all week to do much of anything, especially tracking, and even going for walks has been limited. I decided to fill up the old feed dish with water, in the shade, and see if the dogs would like to play a bit with it.
Is this a happy dog?!! Blast is having fun rolling on two old bones he's dug up - actually one is in his mouth when I took this picture, the other is behind his shoulder.
Life is Good!
We started out on Monday with Sultans' old feed dish full of water. There were 4 balls, 2 bones, and some kibble on the bottom. Trust will not stick her nose in the water, and was trying to figure out some other way of getting the treats...like mentally 'will them' up to her mouth. Blast and Tank wanted everything and had a pushing heads fight.
Tank had just dipped in to the bottom for the food, pushing Blast aside.
Blast is trying to figure out what Tank has in his mouth besides water.
Trust and Tank figure I have more food to toss in the water, while Blast has run off with one of the bones.
Eventually, Trust lay in the shade and Blast and Tank decided they both wanted the same old bone. When Tank finally gets it, he's NOT letting go! He's hanging on and standing his ground while Blast jumps on him, bodychecks him, pushes and pulls, and is unable to yank it out of his mouth.
Tank just loves to tease Blast for as long as possible, knowing full well the instant he lets go, it's gone for good! Blast will wait for a while and if no success will start to roll over on top of Tank once again
Well, it's another one of those terribly hot days, so off we go for a playtime again.
