The favorite old and mainly dead white birch out back is still standing. I now it won't last too much longer, not sure why we care so much about it, but we do; we always look ahead and hope it's still there...
Another pretty old birch, and unusual because of its shape.
Can you imagine...we actually went for a walk in the forest without ANY dogs!!! We were hoping to see something unusual, but did not. Actually, we were concerned they would have problems breaking through in some areas, but it wasn't too bad.
CROSSTRACKS! Can't seem to get away from thinking 'tracking' and couldn't resist this shot.Grouse tracks were all over in one area and these were from two who had 'crossed' and left very distinct crosstracks!!!
