A Busy "Outing" for Kira Today!

In Northgate Square today, this little girl had been petting her, and shook her hand, but didn't want "the kiss!"These were three cute characters that learned the proper way to approach a dog before trying to pat it! Kira is very good, very patient with kids. There wasn't enough room for her to get in with Mickey in his golfcart. The mall experience today was excellent, met many people very interested in "what she was all about"....lots of questions, a good chance to 'inform' people about dogs. After we left the mall, we went to a nearby hotel and walked through it a bit. We both stood at the locked glass door to the vacant pool and wished we could inside. When we came out, I decided to meander over the Dionne Quints home next to the Chamber of Commerce and we wandered through there a bit.
Coming out, Kira spied two work gloves! She picked one up and headed over to the fellow weeding and gave it to him. Then she turns around and we head back to get the other one! He was most appreciative..ha.ha.ha. and got a nice kiss from her. She was amazingly good today, everywhere we went, everyone she met.Figured we'd had enough, getting very hot, and walked towards the van. A large transport truck pulled up in the front of the hotel, near the van...making all the noises these big trucks make. Decided to just walk over and have a look. She couldn't care less about the noise. The driver said we could look around the truck, so we did. Inspected steps, tire wells, etc. Tons of heat coming off it.Didn't see the tongue at the time, not sure what she would have been doing here. The driver had lowered a ramp to unload and thought we might be able to go up and inside. However, when I looked at it, it was spikey and sharp treads on it, and would have hurt her feet.On the drive home, thought we'd head into Callander, which is on the south side of Lake Nipissing. There's a boat ramp where dogs are allowed to go - Callander is a very dog-unfriendly town and doesn't allow them in any of their parks which are on the waterfront. Hmmm...they seem to allow Canada Geese and all the poop! Kira had a great time trying to swallow all the water while running through it.She was having a great time, totally soaked in no time.I hope she has no problems later with drinking so much of this water, maybe it wasn't as much as it appeared...A pause for the next attack while water drools out her mouth.Sometimes she looks so much like Blast. I had a long line on her as there were duck families in this area and didn't want her swimming off after them!
We had a great day. Crammed a lot into a few short hours.
