So pooped after the weekend trial, mainly due to my van quitting after everything was over, Monday was "for my dogs" and walks. This is the "two faces of Kira" and one shot of Blast.
When I want to just go for a walk and not take any toy along, Kira just HAS to dig a rock out of the driveway to carry along. I don't know how she can even carry some she has found, heavy and awkward. This is the devil dog look, that she has no intention of leaving it behind. And you'd think this was an entirely different dog, back at the house, ready to go in...all sweet as you please.Blast often carries three things at once, just can't let anyone else have a toy! On his walk, I had taken the ball only to play with him, but then he found a rubber hose that had been left out there by "someone" on a previous outing. Possession is important, after all.....
Lovely day again on Monday, but a change is coming...
Yesterday, I went into N.Bay with Blast and Kira. Blast did a good track in a busy spot. We met three men exiting a building just as we were approaching a turn on hard surface. As they approached, they were admiring Blast and asked if they could "pat" him...why not?! Always good PR! even if disruptive for us working. Blast was very accomodating, finally said we had to get back to work and they walked on. Told Blast to "find" and after a bit of searching, turned in the right direction out onto the parking lot. I was very happy with him. When we eventually got around to the front of this building, the security people came out to watch him finish his track. They knew we were there, and again, wanted to see him after we played with his final article. So we walked over the them, he is such a winner for the breed.
While his track aged, Kira and I went to Cdn. Tire and all through the store, visiting with people, a couple of small kids, inspecting shelves, items, climbing a ladder, and jumping up on top of some piled boxes so overall, we had a good outing.
