What a wonderful morning we had! After months of not being able to get out to track, this morning was fantastic!! Snow is melting, temperature is rising and the sun was brilliant...just a glorious day...You'd hardly know the dogs had such a long 'lay off'. Both Emma and Blast did great tracks, Tascha and I were very pleased with them and had such a good time.
Tascha has just stepped off the scent pad, and Emma never left her track. When she got to her first corner, which turned right, she took two steps to the left to check it out, and right back on the track. Because it was our first in so long, we decided to age both tracks under a half hour.Emma is very sure on her track, and is crossing a bunch of snowmobile tracks right now.She has gone through the field area with snowmobile tracks, and out onto a road where she made a left turn. Her track heads up to the corner of the building, onto the sidewalk, and turns right. And there she goes with barely a hesitation at the corner. She continues on the sidewalk along the front the building. The track goes out past the end and turns left. When Tascha laid the track, the next leg was in the shade from the building and was still cold. There was also a patch of ice, which was a puddle when they did the track.Tascha is standing in the puddle after Emma went through. She's checking the corner here, and zips back to the left onto the track.Right on the track, now in sun, and it will turn right heading up past the mound of snow you see in the background, then out onto a paved parking area, still lightly covered by snow, for her final article. There were a couple of 'people' tracks in this area, which she paid no attention to. A very nicely done track.Emma just loves her gloves! She's leaping off the ground here to grab and hang on to her reward. She's so cute!Tascha gave Emma a few throws and tugs when she brought it back. Emma was happy.
